Erin Dunn

Erin Dunn is a talented visual artist hailing from New Jersey, who decided to pursue a career in art after leaving her first passion, romantic ballet. During her teenage years, Dunn honed her skills as a caricature artist while working at Six Flags Great Adventure and the Seaside Heights boardwalk. It was here where Dunn discovered her love for the airbrush and developed her unique artistic vision. She later attended the renowned Rhode Island School of Design, where she became part of the avant-garde artist collective, "Experimental People (XPPL)," and starred in films by fellow XPPL member, Ryan Trecartin.

In 2005, Dunn relocated to Los Angeles met the curator, Carl Berg, who awarded her with her first solo exhibition and connected her with opportunities in The Netherlands. Her work has been described as "splintering sunlight into a flickering prism of liquid loveliness" by David Pagel in the Los Angeles Times. Dunn has mastered various mediums such as drawing, painting, and performance, which have led her to create intricate stop-motion animation films that have screened in venues like The New Museum, PS1 MoMA, and MoCA LA.

Dunn's love for art education blossomed after receiving a fellowship to teach at Rutgers University, instilling her third passion for teaching. Since 2011, Dunn has been creating art and teaching in Brooklyn, NY. Savvy collectors with a discerning eye should keep an eye out for Erin Dunn's glowing portraits, as they are sure to be snatched up quickly.
