More Works by Olivier Boissinot
Olivier Boissinot
Self -taught is the face to face with the works of Van Gogh, during an exhibition in Arles, which revealed to O. Boissinot this latent passion. His work oscillates between figurative and synthetic, made up of flatness of colors, underlined with black. The rest of his journey should bring him to the edge of abstraction.
Traveling
O. Boissinot was born in Aix en Provence and remains very attached to his Provencal land, he has always lived between the two antagonistic cities that are Aix la bourgeoise felted and Marseille the popular passionate. He feeds, according to his moods, the serenity of one and the bubbling of the other.
His visceral curiosity, led him to travel to various regions of the globe and more particularly in the United States, Morocco and most European countries.
Sparkling colors to celebrate life
We then find the imprint of these trips in some of the pictorial themes that O. Boissinot is fond of, such as Provencal landscapes, Jazz in New Orleans, life scenes in Morocco and bullfighting.
For more than thirty years, he has painted, exhibited and sells his paintings worldwide. His approach is essentially sensual, motivated by the juxtaposition of pure colors, which gives him intense emotions, which he wishes to share.
