Elisabeth Cibot

Born in 1960 into a family of artists collecting bronzes of the Italian Renaissance, sculpture has always been part of the environment of Élisabeth Cibot. She finds her happily during her studies at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, in the workshops of Etienne Martin, Léopold Kretz and César.
Graduated in 1983 (chisel section), she was also assistant to the painter Riccardo Licata at Centro Internazionale di Grafica de Venice between 1981 and 1983, then "Guest Artist" with the Glass School of Harvey Littleton in Spruce Pine (U.S.A) in 1983. Back in Paris, she obtained a workshop in the city in 1984. In parallel, she pursued studies of art history, and validates a first thesis in 1984 in Roman archeology, then a DEA in 1990 in history of techniques .
The year 1993 marks a return to bronze statuary and large formats. Since 1997, she has worked in Nogent-sur-Marne in a workshop in the National Foundation for Graphic and Plastic Arts. His works are in many private and public collections and are presented in different international galleries.
