Eric Mercier

Eric Mercier was born in Paris in 1973. His discovery of the artistic universe was done in 2008. A training as an art supervisor allows him to work on works and this is how he discovers photography, Then quickly screen printing. In 2014, he was accepted in the collective screen printing workshop of the Cité International des Arts in Paris, which allows him to develop his technique, to build his projects and to meet the international artistic scene with the residents of the Cité des Arts . Eric Mercier also works with children and adolescents in art schools and high schools by making them discover the technique of screen printing.
It is from silver photographs, between the subtle game of the frames, lines and flatness of colors, the transparency of inks that he succeeds in the nesting between photography and screen printing. Colors must result from a process of research and harmony. He makes sure that there is no break, no raw separation to create a graphic complexity.
"I like to cause chance, whether it is built or deconstructs during printing by accident or intention, resulting from projected emotions."
One of the goals of his work is that the image he creates calls for another in the imagination of the spectator.
