My photographic work has focused on Iceland for several years. The landscapes of Iceland lend themselves easily to photographic reproduction. I nevertheless try to move away from this "documentary" current, through work on simplicity and symmetry. Island has its tourist "shots", magnificent but not completely reflecting the way in which the inhabitants of The island see their country. Indeed, man models nature and his achievements are an integral part of the landscape of Iceland. The objective of my photographic work was to highlight the aesthetic potential of these human brands, sometimes unintentional and often overlooked. Most of the houses in Iceland photographed in this series are abandoned. There is a mystery share behind each of them ... Why did its inhabitants leave? What stories, dramas or sagas have played there? I wanted to encourage the spectator to find his own interpretation and to invent his own story.
