Federica Aiello Pini is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Italy.
STYLE AND INSPIRATION
Layering marks and fragments from her previous works, she explores overlapping dimensions, thoughts, emotions, and times. This mirrors what we do every day with our memories: observing, reshaping, and blending them with the present.
Her time in Panama exposed her to lush forests and vivid colors, followed by a period in Portugal, which brought the energy of the ocean. Nature inspires her investigations of reality, the hidden connections beneath appearances, and human emotion. Through mixed media and collage, she seeks to reveal these underlying relationships.
EDUCATION
She studied Fine Arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna and Illustration at Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Florence. She refined her expertise through a Venice Biennale Masterclass and a certificate in Art History from Sorbonne University. She explored the relationship between art and healing through the University of Florida’s Healing with the Arts course and is a Certified Global Arts in Medicine Fellow.
