Odile Frachet

Odile Frachet is a painter, sculptor, and engraver. Studies plastic arts (ceramics section) in Paris. In 1967, she devoted herself to creating ceramics. She presents a first major solo exhibition in Caracas; city to which she was regularly invited for numerous training sessions and exhibitions of her works (1973-1974-1987-1991). His first medium is earth: stoneware and enamel.
Each of her sculptures results from assemblies of volumes, inspired by different themes: "Spirals", "Porte-Lune", "Human Comedy", "Face-Porte", or even "Kings and Queens. Odile's research Frachet are based on form, emptiness, fullness, and the contribution of "meaning", imagination. The artist gives us to see his vision of the world. Odile Frachet works in acrylic, mixed techniques, collages .

From 2003, the artist adopted another medium: engraving. Printing, intaglio, etching, allows him infinite freedom of impressions. As in painting and sculpture, his style is "abstract figuration". Thanks also to printmaking, Odile Frachet designs and produces Artists' Books with poets (6 to date) or poems, engravings, original works, respond to and complement each other.

Since 1973, the artist has hosted workshops and classes in his “Céladon” workshop.
Since 1967, the artist's work has been regularly presented in France and abroad, in more than 300 exhibitions, including nearly 90 personal ones.
