Michèle Jarnoux

Michèle Jarnoux, secret filiations of matter
"I want to go off the trails, seek emotion through innovation. »»
Michèle Jarnoux's sculptures mix ceramics and merged glass, two particularly indebtedness materials that require manual expertise and patience.
In love with nature, his work testifies to the preservation of the environment and the marine world, restoring nature its relief and its particularities. It is a dream in the making, tense from the depths of the sea to the sky.
Dedicated entirely to sculpture since 2011, its artistic approach is based on the search for the transformation of matter. Without a model or drawing beforehand, the artist lets himself be carried by his imagination. The shape is born from his hands. Accident and control influence, respond and make sense together.
“I visualize my work and my hands sculpt. My fingers are my eyes. »»
Her first series entitled imprints and variations that she developed from 2011 to 2013 gives birth to characters coming out of the rock, bordering on abstraction. Then his series Memoires de la mer illustrates in 2013 his research on the effects of textured material evoking coral and the association of glass and ceramics.
A discovery of 2020 born of a happy coincidence that the artist analyzes and has mastered since then, brings together in the center of the sculpture the glass which foams like foam. The effect is particularly surprising and successful. This emergence on the one hand of marvelous is a real experience at the heart of matter.
