Some of our favourite illustrative drawings are by British Artist Mat Cahil who explores masculinity, anonymity and individuality in his work. Some of his drawings take up to 400 hours to complete, with many of his works asking viewers to look closer and recognise nuances in what may at first appear as uniform.
Remembered for her illustrative drawings is Beatrix Potter, a famous English illustrator, natural scientist and conservationist who became best known for her animal drawings in children’s books. She spent much of her childhood in Scotland and the Lake District, where she developed a love for plants, animals and natural landscapes, all of which she spent her time observing, drawing and painting.
