More Works by Hélène Vac
Hélène Vac
Hélène Vac is an artist born in 1985 in Soyaux who lives and works in Bouscat (33). She grows in Bordeaux with the passion for drawing and plastic arts, she is particularly interested in the representation of the human figure and in academic drawing in Inspired by the Italian Renaissance. It settled in Paris in 2003 to join the Special Architecture School and obtained its DESA architect diploma in 2008. A large training which allows it to explore other forms of Creation through the design of spaces, places to live or utopias. From 2009 to 2019, she exercised the profession of architect between Paris and Bordeaux, while continuing her drawing practice. Installed at Bouscat, she produced in 2016 a series of portraits and animal drawings in ink and gouache. It collaborates from 2018, with the Landscape designer Renan Rousselot and trained in gardens art, carrying out landscape projects in the properties of the Bordeaux vineyard. This activity intimately linked to the living, the landscape and the ecology stimulates in her a new sensitivity in her artistic production and leads her to change support and medium. The space then returns strongly to his work through the notion of Cross landscape with a reflection on color. The works of Berthe Morisot and the Impressionist movement and then Joan Mitchell then exerted a great influence in his painting. The technique of acrylic painting allows him to experiment with increasingly large formats and to work quickly thanks to drying times short. His palette evolves over his research on depth and movement, lively reds or fluos then enlighten his paintings, gradually detaching from realism while keeping a figurative anchoring.
