More Works by Juliana Do
Juliana Do
Born 1975, Vienna-based artist Juliana Do is an abstract painter who explores the boundary between controlled painting and free experimentation. Her high-frequency paintings, distinguished by their endless colour combinations and layers of dots, lines and stains, are a dialogue between space and light. She creates the blank spaces in her pieces using a principle of light, which she defines as an 'optical escape from the second dimension'.

Julianna Do's Early Career and Style

Juliana studied at the University of Industrial and Applied Arts, Linz, Austria and the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna, Austria, under Professor Franz Graf. She also became an art teacher at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. Her oil paintings, esteemed for their marrying of mind and material, have limitless potential; as the mind is boundless, so are the developments of her intuitive paintings.

Exhibitions and Private Collections

Juliana has exhibited her works in domestic and foreign exhibitions. She has received numerous awards, such as the prize for Eastern Influences in Western Art, New York, United States. Juliana has participated in symposia and art fairs worldwide, such as Art Fair Cologne, Germany, and the Festival Femina in Haifa, Israel. Corporate and private collections and museums host her abstract works globally, including at the Ritz Carlton, Budapest, Hungary, Imago Mundi's Collection "Save the Dreams", Foundation Giorgio Cini, Venice, Italy, and Collection PANGAEA - Global Art Initiative for World Peace, IDEA Society, Austria.
