More Works by Sarah Goldbart
Sarah Goldbart
Sarah Goldbart is a British painter who spends her time between France and the UK. Sarah's acrylic paintings stand out for their ethereal, almost glowing quality and are suspended somewhere between figurative and abstract art in style. With a look that emulates iconic artists such as Sonia Delaunay and Georges Braque, these compositions leave a truly lasting impression.

Sarah Goldbart’s Education & Early Career

London-born Sarah successfully completed her Arts Degree at Loughborough College of Art and Design before embarking on a career as a freelance artist. After a period of family bereavement, Sarah moved to the Parisien outskirts to pursue painting. The artist has always been passionate about the environment, with many of her projects exploring the natural world.

Projects & Exhibitions

Sarah’s first solo show took place in Cornwall in 2001 when she exhibited at Badcocks Gallery, Newlyn, and at the Mariners Gallery in St Ives. Recent projects like Nature Fragile are direct responses to the decimation of the natural world by human interference. Inspired by academic study, her scrutinous portrayals of organic matter are often drawn from live observations at the Musée National d'Histoire Naturelle in Paris. However, Sarah's works, exhibited across the UK, Italy and France, strive to go beyond realistic depictions and, instead, present highly emotive and gestural manifestations of the natural world.
