Guillaume Thunis

Guillaume Thunis is a Belgian artist whose abstract work explores the infinite, large or small. His work is obsessive, repetitive, often geometric, almost always in ink on paper.
He is interested in the apparent balance of things and the world, a precarious balance, actually made up of asymmetries and flaws.
He constantly seeks to account for this ambivalence.

Through abstraction, his work is also a reflection on the relationship with time. He journeys by experiencing repetition: cycles that are initially regular, then stretch out and eventually reveal slight asymmetries, slight interstices.

Guillaume Thunis has mainly exhibited in galleries in Brussels. He has also integrated several collections, including that of Galila Barzilaï at the end of 2022.
He initially studied economics and political science before fully dedicating himself to his artistic practice since 2019.
