Amedeo Clemente Modigliani was an Italian painter and sculptor who worked mainly in France. It is known for its portraits and its nudes in a modern style characterized by a surreal elongation of faces, cous and figures which were not well received during its lifetime, but which later became much sought after. Modigliani spent his youth in Italy, where he studied the art of antiquity and Renaissance. In 1906, he moved to Paris, where he came into contact with artists such as Pablo Picasso and Constantin Brâncși. In 1912, Modigliani exhibited very stylized sculptures with the cubists of the Gold section at the Autumn Salon. Modigliani's work included paintings and drawings. From 1909 to 1914, he devoted himself mainly to sculpture. Its main subject was portraits and complete figures, both in images and in sculptures. Modigliani had little success during his lifetime, but had great popularity after his death. & Nbsp;
