Marie Pressmar is a visual artist born in 1984 in Paris, currently based in Hossegor in the Landes. Her artistic practice is intuitive; she paints with words and colors. She writes on walls, on paper, and creates wooden objects. Her compositions sometimes evoke labyrinths, puzzles, or imaginary architectural structures. This restorative practice allows her to build a colorful universe, where movement and harmony coexist.
One of the decisive steps in her career was her participation in the Colorama Festival in 2020 in Biarritz, an opportunity to present her first immersive work. Her projects subsequently led her to exhibit at Station V in Bayonne and then in Marseille in 2022. She travels to Paris for her collaborations with L'Oréal and Lacoste. In 2023, she received a grant from ADAGP for a series of frescoes in partnership with the town hall of Azay-le-brûlé (79), and she will later return to intervene at the Niort prison during a participatory fresco. The city of Rennes hosted one of her installations this summer as part of Exporama, a contemporary art route.
Currently, Marie is working on her next exhibition on the theme of identity and territory. Her work is visible throughout the year on Instagram @mariepressmar
