Michelle House is a London-based abstract artist with a passion for print and colour. She makes vibrant and unique printed and painted artworks that incorporate her photographs of found patterns and geometry and often architecture. Michelle prints using a combination of dyes and pigments on to natural materials such as linen, wool and cotton.
In addition she also creates limited edition archival prints on paper. These digitally printed artworks are created using a combination of more traditional methods such as photography and drawing with modern digital techniques.
Having gained her degree in fine art textiles at Goldsmiths college, she went on to study digital fine art.
Collections and commissions include; the British Academy (on the recommendation of Sir Nicholas Goodison), Ham Yard Hotel, Paintings in Hospitals, Peter Jones department store, Hove Polyclinic (South Downs NHS Trust), Broomfield Hospital and Davis Polk Wardwell (Paris). Michelle has exhibited widely including at the Saatchi gallery, the RWA, Bankfield Museum, Gallerie Handwerk Munich, Dulwich Picture Gallery and Contemporary Applied Arts.
