There is no cultural revolution without art, it has always been intertwined in politics. Our artists are no exception as they communicate political commentaries via their medium of choice.
Whether they be anti-capitalists, pacifists, or ardent defenders of immigrant rights, their works are unabashedly explicit in their critiques and force us to confront uncomfortable realities. Regardless of opinion, or whether or not we adhere to their ideas, their courageous commitment to their respective causes commands respect.
