Foray into the Figurative

What is Figurative Art?

‘Figurative’ - a term often used as the antithesis of ‘abstract’ - art means artwork that takes its inspiration directly from the things we see in reality. These could be portraits, landscapes, still lifes, or photographs. Even the cave paintings of over 10,000 years ago were ‘figurative art’.

Figurative Foundations to your Collection

Figurative art is a great place to start for budding collectors who know that their tastes are traditional, but might not know where to begin. In this collection, we have showcased some of our more classical figurative paintings plus some that are a bit more adventurous.
