Argentina. Chubut. Route 3. Patagonian steppe.
Serendipity! A young woman emerges in the landscape towards an uncertain future, accompanied by the movement of her clothes. Strangeness. Who is she? Why is she there? What is the product? The work that the monotonous landscape and that the passengers in transit will experience on the road is entitled Frau Goerli (Woman of the Goerli) and connects distant geographies (Berlin-Trelew).

In this case, Szankay re-signifies a photographic shot that interrelates with the aridity of the landscape and the historical moment of paradigm shift (1989/2021). The image synthesizes energy, autonomy and determination in a timeless icon.

The gigantography (8mx4m) will be installed on a billboard on National Route 3 between the cities of Trelew and Madryn from Wednesday, August 4, 2021 for three months in the context of the pre-election campaign. Like other installations that the artist has presented on public roads, the proposal is to stop us from consuming and invite us to feel the mystery of which we are part.
