More Works by Marianne Quinzin
Marianne Quinzin
Attracted very early by the theater and the sets, it was at the school of decorative arts in her city that she followed her first artistic training in the crafts sector. Diploma in her pocket, she joined the second cycle of the National School of Fine Arts in Lyon. In past professional lives, she was therefore a freelance graphic designer, clothing designer, then jewelry, decorator for a real estate agency; And more responsible for visual communication within a large distribution brand.
From her passion for drawing and color naturally arrived painting, it was in this way that she finally decided to take her independence:
Initially, a piece of paper, two people crossed in the street, the clothes of a woman, a word, a texture ... like an echo to an emotion, to a memory. An incitement to vagrancy. An interior walk. She sticks, coated, mixes, overlaps and tears off. In a back and forth between will and chance, she is in the moment and likes to be surprised. The border between figuration and abstraction, she explores the intermediate spaces. The result of his work in turn leans on one side or the other according to an intention of initial and biased generated by the painting itself. Between the canvases of the links are made, themes are determined, and series are articulated. His desire is to show a "mirror" painting where each gaze could meet a sensation, a fragment of its history.
