Monika Herschberger

Rhythm of color
Herschberger's love is abstract painting, which oscillates between playful lightness and powerful expression. She consciously sets accents with graphic elements, especially in her works on paper, which are very accentuated. In it she implements spontaneous thoughts and inner impulses with powerful gestures, striking strokes and passion for material and color. Her paintings are often inspired by music, she finds other themes in nature, the seasons and it is typical that the artist works on several series in parallel.

Born in Vienna in 1976, Monika Herschberger first studied painting at the Vienna Art School, then jazz singing at the conservatory. Further training at the University of Applied Arts. Since 2001 her focus has been on fine art with exhibitions in Austria and Germany. She organized several cultural projects. Her son Julian was born in 2013. In 2019, she took part in the 14th International Symposium for Art in the Studio on the Danube. Live painting to improvised music since 2021 and art workshops.
