Micheal Haran
Micheal Haran studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL.
He lives and works in West London.
In October 2023, he exhibited 8 paintings at the Biennale in Florence, Italy.
His painting "Flowers Of Serenity" was also featured in the Summer Collection 2023 of the Chief Curator of Saatchi Art.

Diverse Media, Broad Themes

The themes of his works are diverse and include abstract figurative or biomorphic art and abstract expressionism. Playful surrealism, colorful and full of movement, using a variety of media. He is strongly influenced by his experiences in dreamtime, shamanism, surrealism, biomorphic sculpture, Dada, post-impressionist, synthetic and futuristic art, archaeology and ancient cultures, as well as hand-drawn old cartoons and talking billboards.

Jazz and many other music genres as well as a wide range of literature, especially the writers of the Beat movement, Jack Kerouac and William S. Burroughs.
Micheal lived in Iquitos, Peru, for 2.5 years, studying Amazon plant spirit shamanism, which had a profound influence on all aspects of his life. He is very committed to the protection of the Amazon and other rainforests. He has raised money for rainforest protection through art sales and donations ( www.amazonia.love ).

Micheal had an exhibition in January 2020 at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill Gate, where he donated 40% of the sales proceeds to three charities, including the Rainforest Trust, which helped preserve 625 hectares of rainforest.
