Thierry Boitier

Since childhood, Thierry Busely has always drawn and "tinkered" for shapes and colors. This naturally pushed it into adolescence to integrate an art school and to study the graphic and advertising arts more specifically.
Diploma in his pocket, he begins to work in graphics agencies but very quickly, he feels that there is not his place. He then turned to textile design and offers his creations to the big names of sewing and furnishings.
In parallel, he paints paintings but without finding a real orientation. It is the discovery of the work of the painter Richard Texier, more than 20 years ago, who will upset his pictorial codes and cause the spark at the origin of his Renaissance as a painter. This discovery combined with his always references (Paul Klee and especially the universe of the musician Brian Eno whose sound creations are for him comparable to pictorial works) will establish his perception of painting.
It is a gallery of Brussels which offers him his first major exhibition, which will be followed by many others, notably in Paris, in France, in the Netherlands, in California ...
Rather than a theme, Thierry Busely prefers to talk about an evocation of space, travel and memory. He uses very matt pigments and binders on glued underlay. And of course the integration of recovery materials (metals, old textiles, wood ...).
