Manon Deck-Sablon

Manon Deck-Sablon, a young French photographer born in Saint-Cloud in 1995 and raised in the south of France, began her studies at the Montpellier School of Architecture, finishing them at the Versailles Landscape School in 2020. Her photographs explore the sensibility she acquired through her training in landscape design and architecture, staging encounters between bodies and their environment. The bodies she captures, anonymous and desexualised, blend into their space, creating scenes that are both absurd and poetic. Devoid of identity, whether they are women, men or non-binary, they become abstract forms interacting with their environment. Although Manon Deck-Sablon's photographic career is recent, her work has already attracted interest. She has exhibited her work in group shows in Milan and Paris, as well as at architecture festivals. Her work has also been published in art magazines such as Acumen, as well as architecture and society magazines such as Polygone and Figures. Often compared to the American artist Spencer Tunick for his approach and style, Deck-Sablon plays more with a geometric composition involving a reduced number of models.
