Elina Evstig

Elina Evstig, a contemporary artist based in Germany, has been engaged in making art since 2012 and work as a freelance artist since 2015. She has no formal education in the art field, but taught herself in the field of design and illustration, and at the same time developed her drawing skills.

Elina does figurative painting with elements of abstraction, she paints in oils using Liquin as a medium. Her most frequent subject is people, especially women and children portraits, which is a tribute to her childhood in a dysfunctional family and an attempt to capture what resonates with her now as an adult. Elina depicts her works as mini-stories about herself and her perception of the world and people; as she says, she gradually creates her own personal language, with which she writes her own story.
