Sarah Hardy

B. 1989, Grimsby
BA (Hons) Fine Art International, University of Leeds 2007-2011
(L’Ecole Supérieure d’Art de Grenoble 2009-2010)
Studio: Assembly House, Leeds.

Sarah Hardy is a painter living in Leeds, UK. Her work investigates themes of identity, spirituality, religion, memory, and dreams, all examined within the context of the natural world.

Hardy's current practice expands upon her most recent body of work, which explored themes of bathing, cleansing, water-based ritual, religion, and mythologies of women and water. She is now delving further into the exploration of spirituality, queerness, and connection, working at a slower pace with oils to reflect on the gradual and iterative process of evolving identity.
