Sasha Makarska is a Ukrainian artist.

Sometimes the artist uses text and words in her works. Also, Makarska usually works in series. Each of Sasha's exhibitions is a separate project. For example, the first exhibition "Abetka"(Tsekh gallery, catalog, Kyiv, Ukraine, 2006) - 33 pictures, each of which is dedicated to one letter of the Ukrainian alphabet. The latest exhibition "Canvas, Anger/Hope/Love"(National Museum "Kyiv Art Gallery", Kyiv, Ukraine, 2024) is the author's reflections on Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine.
Sasha graduated from the Ukrainian National Academy of Arts, the department of temple (monumental) painting under professor Mykola Storozhenko. Sasha was a member of the group "R.E.P."(Revolutionary Experimental Space) in 2004-2006. In 2024, 2017 Makarska was a resident of the Art Residence Velikiy Pereviz, village Velikiy Pereviz, Poltava region, Ukraine. In 2005 she was a resident of the Center for Contemporary Art under the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", founded by George Soros, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Since 2019 a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
