Ta Byrne

Born in 1974, Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the island of Koh Samui, off the south coast of Thailand. Working in oil, Ta Byrne’s dreamlike paintings are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with humour.

Byrne’s figurative paintings abstract the human form, distorting her figures with a cartoonish style and unexpected juxtapositions. Ta Byrne’s imaginative compositions combine elements of modernism with her own unique viewpoint.
