Chromakane is an award-winning artist whose work celebrates cultural eclecticism. Her approach is experimental, referencing irezumi, folk and punk pop art styles, and merging various techniques including archival giclée, lino & screen printing, painting and spray painted stencil on canvas, and digital/AR art. Chromakane wants to create art which allows her collectors to express themselves in more personal and interactive ways, while making a statement on the importance of conscious decision-making.
Working in a precise, illustrative style, she combines analogue and digital techniques, beginning as a pen and ink drawing before being digitally rendered.
Jessie has lived between France and Southeast Asia but has since relocated to the UK, studying a BA in Graphic Design before pursuing an MA in Design and Branding Strategy. Originally from a commercial design background, she recently began exploring illustrative art under the alias Chromakane, launching in 2020 with the aim of bringing her ideas to life in the form of prints, textiles and tattoo art.
Chromakane is partnered with a number of online galleries and resellers, including Artfinder, Fy! and Not On The High Street. She has also been working with the likes of Canon, DressX, Hahnemühle and X (previously Twitter) on various projects bringing her ideas to life across printed mediums and augmented reality.
