Laurent Botella

Laurent Botella was born on June 30, 1974 in Nantes. His learning of painting began in 1989 in the workshop of Maïthé Rovino in Aussonne followed by a year at the Fine Arts in Toulouse. The work was targeted on oil paint and pastel. The work in charcoal and pencil has always been the basis of his work before and after the lessons. Used by the Impressionists and the sketches of the great Italian masters, his painting is spontaneous and structured. The compositions and colors are studied to enhance the subject. The unfinished treatment of funds and the effects of light direct the eye to the expressions, attitudes and emotions of the characters. His goal is to give an impression of life in his paintings.
