Anysia Nefissi

Anysia Nefissi is a visual artist born in Paris in 1991. She will live and work in London until 2019, before setting up her studio in Paris. Anysia investigates the memory of matter in a desire to give form to the invisible by questioning our perception of reality. Her paintings and installations evoke traces of the hidden, the concealed, illusion and the spectral. Her paintings and installations are veritable memorial bridges, bearing witness to an imprint, a trace of the past and the link between the visible and invisible. At the crossroads of quantum physics, metaphysics and anthropology, the artist projects us into an unfathomable reality and invites us to explore an unknown world, questioning our relationship with memory, our identity and, more broadly, the perception of our existence, beyond the material and the sensible. She has exhibited in international galleries from London to New York.
