Tuan T. Tran, a contemporary sculptor based in Paris, channels a deep passion for the art of stained glass and the exploration of Brutalist architecture into his captivating creations. Tuan embarked on his artistic journey by training as a professional stained glass artist in a renowned Parisian workshop. Here, he perfected his craft, mastering the age-old techniques of the trade, including the meticulous art of lead mounting and grisaille. In Tuan's studio, each piece is meticulously designed to strike a delicate balance between the transparency and luminosity of glass and the strength and structure of concrete. Starting with detailed designs, Tuan methodically plans each creation, using concrete frames carefully assembled from formwork. These frames form the basis for Tuan's sculptures, which are inspired by architectural motifs and design principles. The concrete is poured into these forms, resulting in installations that offer a captivating visual experience. Each of Tuan T.
