Renata Fernandez

Renata Fernandez was born in Caracas, Venezuela, 1971. She studied Fine Arts in IUESAPAR, now UNEARTE, 1991-96, specialising in painting and sculpture. Fernandez also studied Social Sciences and Media, Drama and Set Design in UCAB, 1988-93. Both universities are in Caracas. She came to live in the UK in 1998, establishing her practice in London in 2003. Fernandez most recent solo show was TROPICO CAMUFLADO, held at Museo Alejandro Otero, Caracas, Venezuela (2013-14). Renata will be showing her most recent work at the Zabludowicz Collection, as part of the group show Women's Lockdown Art, in November 2020.
Renata has participated most recently in two of BOS Gallery (Dublin, Ireland) group shows in the last few months.
Her work was included in HER NATURE, a group show of women artists held at Maddox Arts, Mayfair, London, Fall 2017, and Maddox Arts Winter Show, 2017-18. Fernandez was Artist in Residency in Gulbenkian Gallery, Royal College of Art, Kensington, National Open Art Competition (2015).
Renata's work is represented in numerous private art collections all over the world, from Europe to Taiwan.
