Olga Bezhina

Russian artist Olga Bezhina was born in the city of Krasnodar in south Russia, where she continues to work to this day. She works with landscape painting, building up layer upon layer of oil paint to create intriguing textures in her pieces, which she refers to as ‘volumetric constructions’. Her use of colour is also distinctive, with bright hues and shades that contrast against each other and create a strong impact. The result is a unique study of nature, in which colour and visible brushstrokes work together to create a dynamic vision of the world.

Olga Bezhina’s Career

Olga began her journey as a landscape artist when she studied fine arts and graphic arts at the Kuban State University in her home city of Krasnodar. Since then, her nature paintings have earned her success across Russia, with various exhibitions across the country. Interestingly, Olga always works in the open air to create her paintings.

Exhibitions and Awards

Olga Bezhina’s paintings have formed part of various group exhibitions in Russia, and she has also had solo exhibitions in Krasnodar. In 2014, she won a professional art award as part of Krasnodar Art Week.
