More Works by Fabien Delaube
Fabien Delaube
Fragments of individuals impregnated with a poetry as timeless as fantastic, Fabien Delaube's works immerse us in a contemplation "in mirror" which one wonders, of the two, which stinks of the other?
A complete artist
Both a specialized decorator (trained at the Bordeaux Opera) and a painter, Fabien Delaube first was initiated into audiovisual techniques, and more particularly to those of photography.
Later, the artist turns to a rich and plural learning of the plastic arts. Exempt in control of all pictorial know-how, from classic trompe l'oeil painting, his personal art is revealed in the execution of an original figurative contemporary painting, fingerprint of dreamlike.
Fabien Delaube works from mixed techniques affixed to the web. His preference is however towards oil painting, which he likes to cover to perfect the finish of all of his works.
Mysterious characters
The artist likes to paint closed, almost unexpressive faces, whose human characteristics, more or less discernible, are unlikely forms inspired by African masks or other facies borrowed from the history of theater or military.
Always represented from the front, these characters with uncertain ages but with sexual physiognomy, seem straight out of a legendary tale. By trying to decipher the "scars" of colors and matter which their face are partially or even completely covered, one could almost unravel their history.
The oil used by the artist as a final medium to the realization of the work, accentuates this almost sacred, precious feeling, which seems to be released from the subject represented.
