Victoria Mardon is an emerging abstract artist living and working in Exeter, Devon. She creates precise and complex chromatic, hard-edged, geometrical paintings using acrylic on canvas.
Mardon studied Graphic Design at Bath Spa University and graduated in 2000. Although she never followed a career in Graphic Design, the experience shaped her painting style.
Op Art, Colour Theory and Pattern Design strongly influence her practice. Together with artists Bridget Riley, Carlos Cruz-Diez and Sarah Morris.
Mardon recently had a two-person show at the Brownsword Hepworth Gallery in Chelsea, London. She also had paintings longlisted for the Jackson's Painting Prize and was selected for the RWA Open Exhibition.
