Alexandra Chauchereau

Alexandra Chauchereau graduated from the Beaux Arts (Esadhar). She exhibits in Paris and throughout France, notably in renowned salons (Mac Paris, Art en Capital, Artcité, and Pulsart) and in recognized institutional venues (Espace d'Art Chaillioux, FIAA - Centre d’Art actuel, Abbaye des Prémontrés, Pavillon Monod). Her work is represented in the collection of the Abbaye des Prémontrés, and in that of the FIAA.

Alexandra Chauchereau works in series. However, constants appear in her work. An inspiration linked to identity, the intimate, the need to surprise, to play with a shift, and the insertion of words with both graphic and meaningful roles. Since 2015, her imagination has been nourished by a past inspired by archives, particularly family ones. In the most recent works (painting and mixed techniques), the past is represented in a blurred form, like a light ghost in different shades of gray against which the vibrant colors of the present form a striking contrast. Other compositions hint at the protective shadows of the wings of celestial beings. As a bearer of memory, for her the archive that refers to the past makes her look towards the future, her projects, life.
