Alain Ballereau was born in Paris in 1956, and has been practicing painting since the age of 14. Since 1988, he regularly has exhibited his work in France and abroad. In 1991, he moved to Tarn et Garonne and devoted himself entirely to painting. "His paintings let the spectator walk in large naked or inhabited plains where the idea of the hill or the cliff, the tree and water, the shore that is discovered ... it is a stroll ... In spaces, interrupted only by the limit of the support, and the places follow one another, as over the course of the walk ... "
