My canvases are characterized by projections of colors and lines emerging from one another in a vibrant and purely emotional interweaving. Painting is for me a pure and raw artistic operation, based on my own impulses; it shakes up, engages in experience: the canvas is scraped, torn to the extreme, splattered, rubbed, scraped, polished, held back... I claim a return to the origin, to something playful, quick, and instinctive. To dive into the abstract, to go towards more depth, to open up to the invisible, to the divine. Sometimes carried by music, my approach frees itself from all aesthetic pretension for a free spontaneity that I find in children's drawings, raw art, primitive art, and American abstract expressionism.
