Born in Poland, Hanna Sidorowicz followed Gdansk Fine Arts before joining Paris in 1985 where she finished her artistic training in the decorative arts. She was quickly supported by decisive actors in the world of art such as Pierre Cabanne and Cécile Debray. Then followed one another for twenty years, numerous exhibitions in salons (including FIAC in 1990) and galleries (France, United States, England, Denmark ..). "Hanna Sidorowicz's painting occupies a singular place on the current artistic scene. Strongly marked by the ancient masters - Léonardo da Vinci or Rembrandt - and by the great painters of American abstraction, it builds a work imbued with scrambled or allusive references in which the figure and the elements of an immericuent architecture of Entrelacs Calligraphic or trembled and shimmering surfaces of the templera. His work around the idea of palimpsest and fragment, real symptoms of an obsession with pictorial memory, is part of a current question on art and humanism, on the future of painting. This Sidorowiczian universe populated by angels, faces of wise old men, colored sketches inspired by the fabrics of the great masters of the 20th century, produces a cultivated and refined painting, a sort of visual thinking embodied in the colorful material and the line. "Cécile Debray, painting in Palimpsest Museum of Châteauroux, Circle d'Art editions, 2000
