Francis Gonnet

Francis Gonnet has been painted for over 40 years. Coming from a family of painters on several generations, some of whom are by profession (G Lambert Museum of Sèvres), he was rocked by art from his childhood, imbued many exhibitions. "I was sensitive to the impressionists. I am very attracted by the cubist period of Braque in Picasso. I like the painting of Kandinsky, the shapes and colors of the Delaunay of F Leger, without counting the abstraction of N of Staël And p klee. I like to structure my paintings with a certain geometry, I am inspired by shapes and curves of characters and musical instruments but also trees and high houses by their verticality. I mainly use paper supports sometimes canvases. I structure the table by a drawing at the dry point, then I use a mixed technique starting with ink, then the color with gouache or acrylic to add gels that can give a certain shine. "
