Bernard Fièvre

The artist Bernard Freve was born in 1954 in Maine-et-Loine. He currently lives and works in Tours. It is within a rather musician family and after classic studies that he embarks on his passion. Already very early, pencils and brushes no longer leave him. Bernard Fièvre is fascinated by the almost confidential world of symbolists. Of these figures such as Gustave Moreau, Puvis de Chavannes, Odilon Redon, Fernand Khnopff; Artists from secession like Gustav Klimt or Egon Schiele, or from German expressionism like Oskar Kokoschka or Otto Mueller. So many artists who stimulate his gaze and mark his journey. His career is just as pictorial as philosophical and is due not only to the fertile observation of the world and its formal structure, as to the imperative analysis of its sources and conditions of emergences and expressions.
