Having travelled the world, Boris Garanger has only one desire: to feed his creation with everything he has seen, learnt and discovered. Madagascar, Mauritius, Switzerland and the United States are just some of the destinations that have prompted him to question that universal vector of the individual in society: clothing.
After taking his science A-levels, Boris Garanger decided to spend a year in Bournemouth, England. And because travel shapes youth, he made friends with many young people from all backgrounds, returning with an intercultural sensibility. Bilingual, he applied to the École des Beaux-Arts in Lorient.
He spent a year there and discovered different techniques. Keen to continue his training in the visual arts, he applied to the Beaux-Arts de Rennes and entered the 2ᵉ year Art option, where he became particularly interested in contemporary art. He then enrolled in the 4ᵉ year Sculpture option at the École de La Cambre in Brussels. After a year, he decided to leave.
With a thirst for adventure and a definite appetite for taking risks, he then spent a year travelling, to Madagascar and Mauritius among other places, and drew inspiration from these different landscapes. He trained as a metalworker and metalworker.
His jobs in the building trade gave him real expertise in assembly and construction, and were not unrelated to his artistic research...
Then he discovered Switzerland, Canada and the United States. Boris Garanger has a thirst for new landscapes, for encounters, for knowledge and for the superb, and he seeks to immerse himself in them through his various travels.
