Bernard Devie

Passionate about painting since the age of 12, Bernard has always been showing his interest in so -called "primitive" art. We find in his bas-relief paintings of pre-Columbian, American or Japanese evocations. His very specific achievements combine an underlay of acrylic relief shaped with many layers of paint and varnish. Decorative patterns often come from openwork tissue fingerprints: fancy curtains, lace, placed in the flea markets. In addition, there are traces of comb or spatula. The final rendering evokes the metal to be mistaken.
