Gaëlle Cueff has lived in Paris for several decades, after adolescence spent in the Cévennes mountains. She has been devoting herself for a few years to develop artistic work articulated around various techniques (collages of surrealist inspiration, photographs painted in particular inspired by urban or wooded landscapes, animal bone sculptures in the minds of a cabinet of curiosities, light boxes), is organized in series around various recurring themes (memory, trace, roots, imaginary, hybridization) and results in various plastic choices (transparency, superposition, lag, recovery).
Its current practice is mainly focused on the frame, whose plasticity and silky transparency are a source of experiments that are always renewed, and in fruitful echo with its centers of interest.
