"From the touch of grass to the bright flower, try to grasp this overflowing and constantly renewed energy of nature." Christine Cloos Born in Boulogne-Billancourt, Christine Cloos has lived in Giverny for thirty years. She is a painter and sculptor, and writer. She works first, a glazing painting on wooden panels. In 1991, she moved to Giverny and took the support of iron, cut and welded sheets, assembled in murals and reworked in oil and gold leaf, to decline series about the Water, fire, and trees in a game of full and empty, shade and light, work which ends in 2013. In 2006, work on canvas, collage of various papers and oil painting, which has continued so far. His research is to decline a theme. There were the landscapes between heaven and earth, then the tree trunks, more particularly the birch, then the flowerbeds and the wild flowers, but also the sea, the waves. The proximity of the forests, the garden of Claude Monet oriented it towards the exploration of this nature, wild and untamed or organized and structured. Whether corrected, polite, organized, it remains powerful, overflowing with an almost uncontrollable energy.
