A direct expression of a unique moment dominated by the intensity of pure emotion. The artist meticulously selects her motifs from photos taken during her own shoots, featuring interactions between characters in sun-drenched territories. She represents these shots in oil paint on canvas, cropping them and selecting her colours. Her touch is borrowed from what her eyes have digested and her feelings have filtered through. A creative process is established to translate the light and the movements of the characters. In her works, light has a compositional function. The painter describes light and movement in a radical way. She theatricalises and sacralises a seemingly banal reality. Fairfeld Porter's pictorial universe inspires her research into the motif and composition of her paintings. His work is in the tradition of the German neo-expressionist painters of the 1980s, characterised by a frank freedom of expression. The medium of painting does not take a back seat to the motif. It is the guarantor of a subjective choice that she makes in front of her model.
