Eunice Pais is a Portuguese interdisciplinary artist who intricately explores themes of duality and the dynamics of visibility and invisibility through her work in photography, video, and sculpture and fabric manipulation. Working across genres, she recurrently revisits the body as a liminal space for discussion embodied in different materialities such as fabric and metal.
She is also the founder of PAIS, a photo production studio/ agency focused on mitigating waste and bringing social equity in photography.
In 2022, Eunice showcased her work at The Open Eye Gallery in Liverpool (UK), the Photo Fringe Festival in Brighton (UK), and the State of Fashion's Biennale in Arnhem (The Netherlands).
In 2023, her art was in Leicester (UK), Paris (France), Rome (Italy), and Maastricht (NL). Also, Eunice was awarded the Alumni Exchange Innovation Fund by the US Embassy in Portugal to continue a project on different abled bodies and neurodiversity.
