Daniel studied at Chelsea School of Art, the Slade School of Fine Art and the Royal Drawing School. He was Artist in Residence at Level 39, Canary Wharf, Dumfries House and Kensington Palace. He was Artist in Residence and visiting Professor at IIFA, Modinigar, India. He was awarded a Boise Travel Scholarship to make work in the USA. He has been runner up in the Laing Landscape Award and won second prize in the Gilchrist Fisher Memorial Prize for Landscape Painting. Daniel has exhibited widely, including The First International Invited Exhibition of Emei Contemporary Art, China, The London Group at Southampton City Art Gallery, The Lynn Painter Stainers Prize, The Threadneedle Painting Prize, the Allen Gallery New York, and with Flowers Gallery, Purdy Hicks and the Canary Wharf Window Gallery Art Program. He has had a one-man show with Kittoe Contemporary, 2021 and at One Paved Court London, 2017, The Project Gallery, Arundel in 2015, Capsticks Solicitor in 2011 and at Gillions Art in London in 2008. His painting Panorama (from Angel Court), London was exhibited in 2012 at the Barbican Centre. Commissions include The Canary Wharf Group, Bayer plc and the Topland Group. Daniel has twice painted the portrait of the actor Tom Hardy. Work is in both private and public collections including The Chinese Government Collection, Dumfries House, University College London, The Royal Marsden Hospital, Forbes, Bayer plc, Unilever plc and the Canary Wharf Group.
