Born in 1955 by the Mediterranean Sea, Joëlle Kem Lika spent her childhood and adolescence on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, in Lacanau who inspired her love for the ocean and the forests. At twenty she settled in Paris, returned to her first art school (Albers workshop) and at the same time decides to become a psychotherapist. She opens her office at 28, while continuing to paint. In 2000 she produced her first exhibition which met with great success and ended up stopping her career as a shrink 6 years later in order to devote herself fully to her passion.
She exhibits her works at the Grand Palais, in different places in France and in New York. She opened her painting galleries: in 2007 in Burgundy in Sainte Virtue sur Serein, near Chablis, in 2009 in Aquitaine in Lacanau Océan, then a workshop in the center of Paris from 2010 to 2017 in Haut Marais.
